MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS 9/1/10

Good morning Wildcats!!!

I’m your host, Mrs. Kettering.

I’m your co-host, Anahat. Today is Wednesday, September 1st, 2010.  This IS the Khaki and Blue Review.

Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance (pause)…

The 7th grade girl’s volleyball team won their opening game of the season by beating Modesto Christian.  The Lady Wildcats won the first and third game with strong serving from Kellie Baker, Jessyca Mendez, Raena Robinson, and Brooke Heister.  McKenzie Hillier and Michayla Purdy helped out with strong passing.  The Wildcats have their first home game today against El Portal.

Attention Students! Just a reminder - It is important to keep your student ID cards with you at all times!  You will need your ID card to check out books, purchase items at the student store, and for discounted admission to athletic events.  There is a $5.00 replacement cost for any lost ID Card, so keep track of yours.

Attention 6th grade students--Money will be collected in the student store between 8:00-8:30 am.  PLEASE DO NOT SEND COINS WITH YOUR STUDENTS.  Paper Money ONLY!!!  Parents can bring money in for their students between the hours of 9:00 – 11:30 am.  Money will not be collected after 11:30 am.

Students, if you have already placed an order, you will be called to the office to pick up your shirt.  Also, we will not be taking any more orders for Dress to Success t-shirts until September 20.

Please remember to follow the dress code. Polo shirts need to be tucked in, pants need to be pulled up, sweatshirts, sweaters, and jackets need to be all one color and NO LOGOS. Please read your dress code for colors and all another rules. If you have any questions regarding dress code, please see Dima. This will be strictly enforced.

How would you like to get into volleyball games and basketball games for free?  If you would like to keep score or run the game clock for volleyball or basketball games, please see Mr. Ferguson as soon as possible.  You will also be rewarded at the end of the season for helping out.

Hey students—Do you need school supplies?  Come check out what we have at the student store in the mornings between 8:00 and 8:30.  We have composition notebooks, spiral notebooks, dry erase markers, fun pencils and pens, paper, highlighters, and much, much more.  Most items are $1.00.

Hey Wildcats!  The Reptile Education Club will meet today in room 503 from 3:05-4:00 pm due to the Thursday and Friday 1:15 pm dismissals.  See you there - if you didn't already turn in your forms, please take them to the Wildcat Shack!

Packets are still available for those that would like to CHANGE IT UP and get involved with Student Council!  Run for 6th, 7th or 8th grade president and vice president.  Get your packet in Room 503 during advisement or after school (Please teachers, don't send kids during class).  For those of you who have picked up your packet, read the directions and follow them carefully; you should have some completed forms to give to Ms. Peterson so that you can begin campaigning!

That’s all for today!  We’ll see you at lunch!
